I learned creating lesson plans is more difficult than I thought. I discovered an idea that may sound great in your head for a lesson may turn out more difficult and may need to be revamped while planning. A unit is more complex than I thought. I felt overwhelmed at first because their were so many options and ideas I had to incorporate into my unit but, in the end after narrowing down my choices and going with my gut feeling, it turned out well.
I am most proud of my wiki. It was a very large project and took a large amount of time. Before taking this class I had no idea what a wiki even was and now that I do I am very excited about it. I think it will be an amazing tool for my students, parents, and myself. I think my wiki has a wide range of depth to it and accomplishes what I wanted which is to be a fun informative to my audience and that is why I am so proud of it.

When I become a teacher I am excited to see success. As students pave there future through their education I have the amazing opportunity to see it first hand. Many people talk about seeing the "light bulb" go off when a student understands something. I know that sounds cliche but I am excited to see that. I will be teaching elementary school and I have seen many children under bad circumstances. I am excited to be able to give students a chance to escape that through there school work and succeed against the odds. My goal is to make every student love school and I don't think that's an unrealistic goal.

Before this class my confidence was low with technology. I felt like I had trouble even turning on and off a computer. I would rather just do tasks the hard way and not have to use technology because I fellt like I always ran into problems whenever I used a technology device. Now I can't wait to see what I can create on a computer. I look forward to the next lesson because I get excited to learn something new I can create. As a person I have really grown in creativity with this wiki assignment. I will no longer be afraid to use my creative side and can't wait to make projects using technology in my classroom!

The next time I write a unit I will plan in a more chronilogical order. I felt at the end of writing my current one on my wiki it jumped around alot and didn't really flow as well as I hoped it would. Another part I would dod differently is I would make sure the etchnology I use is age approporiate. Some of the means of technology I used after I finished it occured to me it may be to difficult for first graders to operate. I know it will help when I am actually around my class because I will have a better understanding of what my students are capable of.
When using technology I am most concerned that it will fail or something out of the ordinary will happen, I won't be able to fix it and be stranded while teaching in front of the class. To solve this I will always have a back up without the use of technology to accomidate the situation if it were ever to arise. Another precaution would be to motivate myself to learn the technology to a science so that if this problem does occur I will have the knowledge, confidence, and practice to fix the problem.
My biggest concern with teaching is not seeing eye to eye with every single student. If a student in my class was to not understand me and not get the concept I would have a hard time with that. I know one of the reasons I want to be a teacher is because of the challenge, but I want to connect with all of my students. I know this will happen at some point but I will be prepared for it and try my hardest to accomidate the student's needs.
I am so excited to have the chance to bring technology into my classroom. I am excited to see student's more intreged in learning. When I was in school technology wasn't present like in schools now. Today students are able to recieve a better education through real life, visual concepts, makeing more opportunities for all students. Presently teachers and students have more selections in lesson plans which creates a more diverse curriculum and way of learning!

I will teach in the twenty first century. I will integrate technology, current textbooks, current topis, and teaching methods to make students have a current classroom. I think haveing an updated classroom will faciliate students for the future.
I will make a tremendous difference to many students. I will work until every student understands the concepts I am presenting. I will be there for students when they need someone. I will make sure students have everything they need to accomplish success not just the year they are present in my classroom but a lifeline as long as they need. I will ensure success as students our the future and give them everything they deserve.
