Description of lesson:
For this lesson we will be exploring the traditions and customs of Japanese holidays. Students will be listening to me explain the four most important and most celebrated holidays in Japan. Students will be hearing this through me and also have a word document to refresh their memory by playing key concepts from my lesson.
Assignment:
Students will work on a timeline of the holidays and take a short online quiz to critque their understanding of the holidays.
Technology used:
The technology used was the internet for our learning software, microsoft word with sound, and power point to show pictures as examples of of Japanese holidays.
The technolgy helps students gain a greater knowledge of the way Japan celebrates their main holidays. It helps students see real examples in the form of pictures, helps them explore and interact on the internet through the enhanced learning software, and helps students teach themselves knowledge that may have been recieved better through technology.

Description of Lesson:
For this lesson about weather we will begin with a scavenger hunt on the internet. Students will be able to search the web for answers to questions I have given them. After going over the questions as a class we will discuss bar graphs and charts. The class will be given graph paper and a fact sheet. We will take the statistics about weather in Beijing and make a bar graph.

Students will get a depper look into using the internet. The internet is an important tool to know as it is used every day. I will be able to show my students as many pictures, facts, and statistics on the internet I couldn't have found otherwise.

Student will be able to identify what the different colors of the dragons represent.
Student will understand the history of the Chinese dragons.
Description of Lesson:
Students will be given a list of questions to research and some links to great sites that will provide informatin about the history and significance of dragons in the Chinese culture. After answering questions they will do an activity. The activity will be makeing dragons out of clay and showing the students knowledge about the meaning of different colors of the dragons. Then students will present their projects to the class and explain why they choose those colors.
Assignment: Homework assignment will be done in class.

Technology used in this lesson will make learning more attainable to students. It will let students see real life dances using Chinese dragons and see how dragons are used in the Chinese culture.

Students will be taught facts about folklore and the impact it has had and still has on Asia. Our class will read the book Tikki Tikki Tembo and then discuss it. Then they will be shown the example of the comic I have made on ToonDoo and then make there own comic based on the story.

They will discover how new inventions made exploration possible. They will learn how Europe's trade with Asia was conducted and discover how constraints on that trade helped give rise to the age of exploration. Then students will all participate in makeing a collaberative word map.
