My top priority in my teaching philosophy is to build a foundation for a productive learning environment, and whenever possible I want to teach beyond the mandated standards. I want to motivate students to learn and retain knowledge, and teach them how important a good education really is. I want a classroom that fosters a passion for learning and ensure every student reaches their full potential. I believe in encouraging students to take responsibility for learning and to develop pride in their own work.
Our society is continuously improving and therefore integrating technology into student's learning environment. The benefits of technology in curriculum is endless. Technology is becoming a normal part of everyday life and with this new generation of learners comes a different more complex way of learning and requires teachers to use technology in order ot grab students attention. Technology in classrooms opens up many doors, visual presentation, and more complex lesson plans and assignments.
Technology helps grab student's attention making learning more fun. Before technology examples were either read, acted out, or just simply spoken about from teachers now a quick slideshow, power point, or digital story, etc. makes learning more interesting and relatable through student's eyes. Technolgy needs to be a part of the curriculum because it is the future and students are the future so it only makes since to teach through technology making learning powerful!
